Persistent Notebooks can now be compressed to free up space from deleted files stored in previous job runs.
How It Works
After you have deleted the files you no longer need from the notebook. Ensure the notebook is in the stopped
status. Click the name of the notebook to view the Notebook Details page. Click the Compress
button from the toolbar. The notebook will remain in the compressing
status for several minutes, depending on the mount of data saved in the notebook. Once the notebook returns to the stopped
state, the space from the deleted files will be freed. You can then restart the notebook to utilize the available space.
